THE ASIAGO PLATEAU
The Asiago plateau is the largest plateau in Italy, located on the Vicenza Alps , in the northern part of the province of Vicenza . A beautiful territory of pastures, woods and malghe, in the heart of the Venetian mountains, surrounded by peaks that reach 2,350 meters in height.The area of the Plateau includes eight municipalities: Asiago (the main center), Conco, Enego, Foza , Gallio, Lusiana, Roana and Rotzo.
The plateau is surrounded by unspoiled nature, populated by many species of wild animals, plants, mushrooms and flowers.
Those who love walking can venture into one of the many trails in the area, choosing the route based on their ability. Asiago and the Plateau are immersed in a still uncontaminated natural environment, populated by many species of wild animals, plants, mushrooms and flowers of a thousand colors and scents. Numerous mammals move in this true natural paradise, such as fox, badger, squirrel, alpine hare, ermine, marten, dormouse, roe deer, red deer, chamois and mouflon. From Bassano del Grappa it is about 30 km, 40 minutes by car.
